Saher Ramzy was born in Cairo in 1971. Since he was a little kid, he showed great interest for the fine arts, be it paintings or music. He was also influenced by his father's works who was an iconographer and professor of the Coptic arts in the Institute of Coptic Educations in Cairo.

 

After graduation and getting two college degrees; one in fine arts and the other in the old history of Egypt, he started his career as an artist in his father's atelier spending 5 years and developing a lot of art works. During that time, his passion for photography kindled more and more and he got his first professional camera in 1990. Photography was not yet a taught art and there were no courses at the time, he started to teach himself everything about photography.

 

In late 1997, and with the booming of Internet in Egypt, Saher started a career change to a web designer. He designed a lot of websites and flash animations, working in a few companies as senior web designer and an art consultant, but he never forgot about his photography passion.

 

Saher Ramzy has also been very attracted to the digital art with several works in that field. He is a photography editing professional, specially the HDR effects.
